What is Time-in-Force for an order?

There are two primary Time-In-Force order types:

1. Day Order: A day order is automatically canceled at the end of the trading day if it is not filled.

2. Good-Till-Canceled (GTC) Order: A GTC order remains active until it is either filled or canceled. If not filled on the day it is entered, it will be resubmitted at the open of the next trading day. GTC orders expire 90 calendar days (including weekends and holidays) after they are placed.
